My brother recently acquired a new mate. Let's call her Michigan. In finding out more and more about her, my mother vented to me about her.

Mother: Did you know your brother has a new girlfriend?

Me: Oh, really?

Mother: Yea, she's in Michigan. (Hence the name) That's why he's there so much.

Mother: Did you know she's Chinese? (We're Vietnamese)

Me: Oh, Ok.

Mother: From China.

Mother: And she's a communist.

Mother: Because she's from China, and she's not born here.

Me: But you're not born here.

Mother: No! I escaped! Her parents are still there. I'm no communist.

Mother: You just see, your brother will move to China and become a communist too.
